When I thought I might put together a poetry collection I did not yet appreciate how much poetry I'd actually written, over the years. This isn't even all of it. There's things that were too embarrassing to include, and there's things that I've written a whole story in prose around, and things I've lost.

There's lots of Ballades, there's Blank Verse Essays, there's some Paeonic Tetrameter, all my favorite forms. But the big feature, at the end, is a long narrative poem in imitation of Wilde's "Ballad of Reading Gaol."
